About us

You are here: Home / About us

Welcome

We’re a niche employment law and data protection firm of solicitors with offices in York and West Yorkshire.

We set up and established Harrington Law in 2019 having previously worked in the award-winning employment law team of one of Yorkshire’s best-known law firms.

Why did you start Harrington Law?

We’d both grown tired of working for larger law firms. We wanted to free ourselves from the significant operating costs and overheads associated with working for large law firms (which are ultimately passed on to the client).

We wanted to break free from that model and establish a niche and specialist law firm. We agreed from the outset that the firm’s focus should be on ensuring that clients receive a top-level service and that they should be viewed as people and not numbers.

We believe that there should be transparency on fees from the outset and that clients should only pay for our experience, our expertise and the results that we deliver.

Why instruct us?

Clients instruct is because we offer fast, effective and commercially astute advice.

We know Employment Law and Data Protection Law inside out. It’s all that we do, it’s where our reputations were formed and it’s what we specialise in.

Brian Harrington and Nathan Combes have more than 40 years’ combined experience in acting for and representing clients in these fast moving and complex areas of the law and their knowledge and understanding of in these areas of the law has been recognised by the prestigious Legal 500 Guide.

What if we need help with other areas of the law?

No problem. We have strong links with experienced lawyers working in other areas of the law and often work closely alongside them in order to obtain the best possible outcome for the client. We’d be happy to speak to you and make an introduction.
